I love fitness because it makes me feel good! It’s the BEST medicine! When I am exercising, I know I am doing something good for my body AND mind. Fitness keeps me healthy and happy.
I became very depressed after years of injuries lead to some serious weight gain. As a former athlete, I knew I needed to find fitness again. I was turning 40 and I needed to be a better version of who I had become. I started attending a weekly Pilates class at BAC and as I became stronger and more confident, I attended more classes. Now, I attend group fitness classes at BAC every work day on my lunch hour.
I love group fitness! I love the energy, motivation and camaraderie that comes from a room full of people all working towards the same thing. It is an honor to now be teaching some of the classes I used to attend.
If I’m not working out, I’m likely spending time with my husband and three children. I enjoy fishing in all seasons, looking for beach glass and going on strolls with our fur baby Marley Mae. I also enjoy trying to play pickle ball and tennis…I’m not that great, but it is a lot of fun!
