I love fitness because it lights a spark in my day. I feel on top of the world following a good workout.
I found a love for yoga almost 10 years ago on my mat in the BAC studio. I carried that love with me when I moved down state and joined a yoga studio while I was away… but my heart was on that mat in Alpena! When I moved back to town 3 years later, within the first week, my intentions to return to BAC were rapidly manifested – I was asked to join TEAM BAC, which I excitedly did as a Front Desk Assistant, a year later became a certified yoga instructor and another year later completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training certification! It has literally been a “dream” come true for me.
I have had many supporting roles at BAC – from the Welcome Desk, to helping to design and kick off the Bay Shoppe, Club Coordinator, Boot Camp and Special Events, assisting with some marketing and editing, even Club manager in charge for a day! Currently, I am happy to be greeting members with a smile at the Welcome Desk and jumping in to teach a yoga class when I can! I am honored to have the chance to pour forth in yoga, what has been poured into me when I lead a class. I love being at BAC because it feels like coming home, yet it is always changing, evolving and bursting with energy too.

I am in love with being a mom, truly. My kids Calvin, Gretta, Wallace and Norah bring me the greatest joy I’ve experienced in life!
I’m a lover of continuous learning too… constantly reading, researching and trying things that peak my interest, usually related to holistic living, yoga philosophy, meditation, mental and behavioral science and the mind, body, soul connection.
I am happiest when I can use my creative energy to design things that please the eye – graphics for marketing, flower arrangements, decorating, etc, even outfits… give me a chance to express and acknowledge the beauty in this world.
